    • The mental implications of the pandemic

    • How to avoid burnout as a writer

    • The different ways to write your draft

    • How to avoid distraction when you are writing

Are you ready to tell the world about the story of your life? A creative mind will produce a creative product but how long will your creativity last? Are you taking care of your mental health? How will you prepare yourself for the challenges that a typical writer will encounter?

Arianna Huffington is the exact person we are looking for who can answer these fascinating questions. As a Co-Founder of the Huffington Post, Founder and CEO of Thrive Global, who authored more than 15 books, Arianna is a veteran in the literary world. She is driven and passionate about moving the hearts and minds of her readers to make the best experience possible.

Balancing Health and Ambitions in the Pandemic

In my conversation with Arianna, one of the key takeaways is that people need to pay attention to their well-being in times of crisis. The pandemic made our lives miserable, but that does not impede our ambitions and dreams. We might wait until it all settles, but we need to keep that drive within us. Take a rest when you are tired, explore new things that might pique your interest, learn how to open up yourself, and acknowledge your weaknesses.

    Avoiding Distractions

Being a writer requires being in a place with no distractions. Distraction is a writer’s worst enemy because it can get in the way of a writer’s train of thought or ideas. Arianna says that “Being interrupted is the worst thing for a writer” and interruptions are inevitable because the creativity of a writer depends on the writer’s focus on the context but avoiding distractions can be very tough especially during a time of pandemic where we are tempted to give in to social media and technology which we need to be very relentless about to control.

    Writing in Your Own Way

Writers have different methods when it comes to writing. Some write through their computer and some write through the paper. Some writers like Arianna use music to trigger their creativity in writing. It all depends on what you are comfortable with and what you think generates your ideas. Also, it’s so much easier especially after writing your first draft. Being in that flow because you are writing in your own method is a sure way to write a great book.
